The one-day conference was held in Blackpool on 14 March. Fr Paul Fletcher SJ and Peter McDonough gave a presentation on the life and work of St Francis, this year being the Jubilee year marking the 800th anniversary. Fifty-two people attended from across the North West, including Leeds and Wales, as well as two from the South, one from Belfast, and two from Dublin. The day included a lovely three-course meal, followed by a late afternoon Vigil Mass.
